Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has congratulated his players for a job well done after the team secured qualification with a game to spare to the next round of the ongoing Africa cup of nations following the team’s successive 1-0 win this time against the Syli national of Guinea.
Rohr speaking in a chat gathered by www.brila.net said the players had a tough challenge from Guinea and also the weather playing the first game of the day. He also stated that the spirit in camp is same and strong to have won the game against Guinea despite making five changes to the side that started the first game against Burundi.
“It was very difficult for the players so really congratulations to all the players, they did a big game in this condition. It’s so hot and wasn’t easy so we started slowly and Guinea has a good team and organisation. We changed five starting players but the spirit was the same. It was not easy but finally we could make a difference from the corner kick. “
