Riyad Mahrez appeared to be in high spirits when he and a group of friends returned to the Lowry Hotel in a £160,000 Bentley Bentayga on Sunday night, the same hotel Jose Mourinho lives.
Mahrez had earlier featured in Manchester City’s stunning 6-1 demolition of Huddersfield Town, coming off the bench as a second-half substitute. The day got even better for City after their win when rivals Manchester United slumped to a 3-2 defeat at Brighton.
United manager Jose Mourinho also lives at the Lowry but will likely be in a much lower mood when he returns there following his side’s trip south.
Mourinho snapped at a female reporter in a post-match interview at Brighton, sarcastically telling her: ‘You must be fantastic in your job to have the ability to speak about chemistry between players.’
United finished second last season but challenging City for the Premier League title this term is already looking unrealistic.
Even the bookies have made Mourinho favourite to be the first manager sacked in the Premier League but do you see that happening?
