Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma says his team will face ASEC Mimosa with renewed vigor.
The defending Nigerian champions’ got their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign got off to a terrible start last weekend when they were defeated 3-0 by Diable Noirs.
Rivers United, however, have a chance to correct their mistakes of the first-leg.
“We are expecting a very tough game and as a matter of fact, we have to be ready and we are perfecting our strategy,” Eguma said ahead of the encounter.
“We lost the last game because there were some mistakes and lapses in the defence and we failed to convert our chances.”
Greatness may have eluded Ossy Martins, but the ex-Abia Warriors forward is exactly what Rivers United need, in Ademetan Abayomi's opinion.
