The CAF Confederation Cup playoff draw held, Tuesday, has pitched Nigerian clubs Rivers United and Plateau United against oppositions from North Africa once again.a
With both NPFL clubs having rather unpleasant memories of Northern Africa based club sides, they have been drawn against the now familiar foes yet again.
Reigning NPFL champions, Rivers United will play El Nasr Benghazi, two time winners of the Libyan league, while Plateau will play Al Akhdar SC, who are making their third appearance in a CAF competition.
The first legs of both encounters will be played at the home grounds of the Nigerian clubs.
Over two legs, should the former CAF Champions League campaigners excel, it will see them progress to the group stage of the competition.
