Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma, believes the Nigeria Premier League Super 6 playoffs is a good avenue to select the best team to represent the country on the continent.

Eguma insists Nigerians have seen teams with the necessary talent to compete in the CAF interclub Competitions next year.

The Rivers United boss expressed confidence that any teams finishing in the top three of the Playoffs will do well on the Continent.

“The NPL Super 6 playoff is a very good avenue to know the best teams to represent Nigeria on the continent next season,” said Eguma reacting to the quality of the Opposition in the Championship Playoffs.

“Without any form of sentiment, Nigerians have already seen the quality in teams that can represent them in the CAF club competitions next season.

“I am confident in any of our teams that will make it to the top three of the Playoffs to do well on the continental stage.”

The winner and Runner up will compete in the CAF Champions League next season, while the third-place team will compete in the Confederation Cup.

Enyimba and Rivers United are joint leaders in the NPL Super Six Playoffs table with four points each after two matches.
