Rivers United, Bayelsa United record wins and march on in Champion League, Confederation Cup

Rivers United defeated Young Boys 1-0 in the return leg of their CAF Championship League playoff match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium and progress to the next round.

Uchechukwu Onyedikachi scored the all important goal, finding the back of the net with nine minutes left to play.
The Nigerian side completed a double against their opponents with a 2-0 aggregate win in the tie.
In the first-leg at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium, Rivers United snatched a 1-0 win.
They next face Al-Hilal and host the first leg.
Meanwhile, in the Confederation Cup, Bayelsa United beat Ashanti GB 3-0 to advance to the next round in the qualifiers.
The first leg of the tie was cancelled following the political situation in Guinea.
Bayelsa United will next face CS Sfaxien and Enyimba will also join in the second round qualifiers.
Enyimba face Senegal’s Diambars FC, but the dates for this round have yet to be confirmed.
