Remo Stars fell short of expectations in the first stanza of the NPFL season, according to CB Nduka Junior.

A fourth placed spot on the table might not be entirely bad, but Junior believes the team will return better prepared for the second half of the season.

“The second stanza is always the toughest stanza of the season in every league,” the team Captain told FL.

“We are mindful of our position and we are not too comfortable with where we are on the table.

“As for the mistakes [we made in the first half of the season] they are team mistakes, not individual mistakes, I believe we will go back to the drawing board.”

Last season, the club finished third and booked a CAF Confederation Cup ticket, while their aspirations in the current campaign isn’t different, Ebuka Junior explained the players aren’t getting ahead of themselves.

“For the Super Six as well, we will take it a step at a time, when we get to the bridge, we will cross it,” he concluded.
