Super Eagles captain, Kenneth Omeruo has conveyed the team’s sense of a “redemption mission” ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Zimbabwe.

The Super Eagles took to the pitch for an official training session at the Huye Stadium, Rwanda, for the crucial encounter.

Omeruo emphasized the serious nature of their mission, expressing the team’s focus on securing a victory.

Despite acknowledging the challenging condition of the pitch, he stressed that the team is determined to overcome any obstacles and secure three points in the upcoming match.

“We are on a redemption mission; a serious business is what we have come for. The pitch is poor but we can’t be bothered right now. We want to get into action and pick up three points.”
