Rangers Advance to CAF CC Group Stages after Beating ASCK

Rangers have qualified for the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup following a 1-0 slim win against ASC Kara in Sunday’s second leg playoff match at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.

Rangers qualified on away goal rule having lost the fist leg 2-1 in Lome two weeks ago.

 

Chinonso Eziekwe scored the decisive goal for his side in the 18th minute.

Benedict Ugwu’s side were made to sweat for their qualification after spurning a number of clear-cut chances in the game.

 

The 1977 Champions join Enyimba, who defeated South African club TS Galaxy 4-1 on aggregate,in the group phase of Africa’s second tier club competition.
