Aminu Umar was on target for Rizespor in their 3-1 win over Konyaspor in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig clash.
Umar, 24, scored his first goal in six months to help Ismail Kartal’s side to their fifth win of the season at the Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium.
Umar doubled his side’s lead in the 10th minute after Ogulcan Caglayan’s early opener while Deni Milosevic reduced the deficit for the Anatolian Eagle before Yan Sasse’s 74th minute strike restored the two-goal advantage for the host.
The forward last scored for Rizespor back in May when he netted his side’s second goal in their 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray.
The former Wikki Tourists forward would be hoping to add to his goal tally when the Black Sea Sparrow hawk host Samsunspor in Thursday’s Turkish Cup Fifth Round fixture.
