Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder says the versatile Calvin Bassey is more suited as a Centre back.

Bassey, 22, has played in multiple roles since his senior team debut at Rangers.
He featured mostly as Center back last season for Giovanni van Bronckhorst, but has also been deployed as a left-back or LCB in a three-man defence.
The Leicester City academy graduate can also play as a wingback, but Schreuder believes the Nigerian is most productive as a CB.
Ajax spent £16.8m for Bassey following the departure of Lisandro Martinez to Manchester United.
The young Nigerian has since settled into his new environment and is forming a formidable partnership with Jurrien Timber in the heart of the defense.
The duo have kept two clean sheets in as many games – against Sparta Rotterdam and FC Utrecht.
Speaking on the role of Bassey in the team, Schreuder pointed out that the player will continue to play in the same position as he did at Rangers.
“With Rangers he played 12-14 games [as a CB]. He can do well there and has a good pass, but the spaces were tight.
“It comes down to precision and recognizing the moments. We could’ve gone more through Daley. Still improvement needed, but it’s normal,” He said.
Bassey has made three appearances for Ajax Amsterdam since the start of the season.
