Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has questioned if Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will to adapt to the English Premier League.

Osimhen is on the radar of several top European teams and Napoli anticipate a bidding war for the 24 year-old when the Summer transfer window opens.

The Forward was crucial to Napoli’s title triumph in the Serie A, finishing the season as the Capocannonieri winner, proving yet again his goalscoring prowess as he did in Belgium and France.

However, while he worries that a move to the Premier League could pose a bigger challenge, Ferdinand believes Osimhen has all the makings of a PL star.

“Osimhen is 24 years old, he has scored goals in France and Italy. He has won the league in Italy and knows how to win leagues,” Ferdinand told FIVE per Sportskeeda.

“He’s been a No.9 at a dominant team. Is that transferable to the Premier League? No one knows that.

“That’s the chance United would have to take on him. That’s the only risk I see. He doesn’t know the league. Ability-wise and profile, he ticks every box, but there is an unknown factor. Can he adapt?”
