The Super Falcons are set to face Australian club, Queensland Lions FC in a friendly match in Brisbane, on Saturday, at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre.

Saturday’s practice game will serve as an important part of the Super Falcons tune up for the tournament scheduled to begin on July 20.

It will be the first test for coach Randy Waldrum’s team since they commenced their training camp for the prestigious tournament.

The match will provide an opportunity for the Super Falcons to fine-tune their tactics and build chemistry ahead of the global football event.

Queensland Lions FC is currently positioned fourth in the 16-team Australia National Premier League, having accumulated 27 points from 16 matches.

The club has achieved considerable success in recent years, winning the league title on three occasions in 2018, 2020, and 2021.

The match promises to provide a competitive challenge for the Nigeria WNT as they continue their preparations for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
