Positive Body Language! NFF negotiating Odion Ighalo Super Eagles return

Could we see the return of dion Ighalo to the Super Eagles? Well, according to quotes credited to the NFF President Amaju Pinnick, the “body language is very positive.”

Ighalo announced his retirement in 2019 but has been very active in his club career, joining Manchester United on a loan deal before moving to Saudi Arabia with Al Shabab.
The reason behind the recent efforts to bring the Striker out of international retirement, Pinnick explains is to bank on his “experience”, particularly, at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
‘I had a long conversation with Odion Ighalo,’ Pinnick explained according to Naija Footballers.
‘Personally, I believe we need experience in our attack to combine with our energetically youthful Osimhen, Onuachu et al.
‘Odion body language is very positive. We are also in touch with his agents and club.’
While it is unclear if the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is on board the FA’s decision, the German is an admirer of the 32 year-old.
The gaffer could hand him an invitation back to the team as early as November for the last round of World Cup qualifying matches.
