With attention switching to the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, the invited players for the game were involved for their respective clubs.
Footballlive.ng runs the rules on how the anointed soldiers fared;
ENGLAND
Super Eagles central midfielder Wilfred Onyiye Ndidi started his fourth straight English Premier League game as Leicester City fell 2-1 to high flying Leicester City.
Kelechi Iheanacho climbed off the bench after the hour mark.
Arsenal picked up three points courtesy of a 3-2 win at Cardiff City.
Alex Iwobi was missing as he was not listed for the game.
Former Fortuna Dusseldorf defender Leon Balogun was on the bench for all 90 minutes as Brighton & Hove forced Fulham to a 2-2 draw.
In the English Championship, Oghenekaro Etebo was in action for 81 minutes as Stoke City fell 2-1 at West Brom.
The former Warri Wolves star was replaced by Bojan Krkic.
Utility player Semi Ajayi tried his best but couldn’t prevent Wigan from defeating Rotherham United 1-0.
ITALY

Utility player Ola Aina was in good form as Torino continued their impressive form in the Serie A with a 1-0 win over  spanking of SPAL 2013.
Aina who played as a left full back in a much changed 3-5-2 formation, was a constant threat to the away team.
William Troost-Ekong, who donned the number 5 jersey featured in Udinese’s slim 1-0 loss to Fiorentina.
Joel Chukwuma Obi featured in the colours of Chievo Verona in their 0-0 home draw against Empoli.
In the Serie B, lanky striker Simy Nwankwo came off the bench in the 70th minute to contribute his quota for Crotone who won 4-1 against Foggia.
ISRAEL
John Ogu notched the curtain raised in the game between Hapoel Beer Sheva and Maccabi Tel Aviv which ended 1-1.
PORTUGAL
Defender Chidozie Awaziem was not listed by Porto who thumped Moreirense 3-0.
At the Estádio Dr. Jorge Sampaio, Kelechi Nwakali was the chief tormentor in Porto B’s 2-1 victory over Academico Viseu.
SPAIN
Kenneth Omeruo was benched for the entire duration in Leganes’ 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid.
The defender is yet to feature for Leganes in the top flight this season.
In the Segunda Liga, Super Eagles number one keeper Francis Uzoho wasn’t listed as Elche were beaten by Reus 2-0.
GERMANY
Newly invited Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins featured in the colours of Paderborn 07 who drew 2-2 at home to Bochum.
FRANCE
Samuel Kalu was on the losing side as his club Bordeaux were humbled 2-0 by Stade Rennes.
The winger was on for all 90 minutes and will now turn his attention to the Super Eagles clash against Seychelles.
CONFEDERATION CUP
Ikechukwu Ezenwa was benched for the full duration in Enyimba’s 1-0 win over Cara Brazzaville in Aba.
TURKEY
Ogenyi Onazi netted his second goal of the season when he opened scoring for his Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor as they pummelled Galatasaray 4-0
Henry Onyekuru was in action for Galatasaray.
CHINA
Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo fired blank  for Changchun Yatai as they drew 1-1 with Henan Jianye.
Ighalo was on for all 90 minutes.
RUSSIA
Brian Idowu was on the bench for the entire duration of Lokomotiv Moscow’s 2-1 loss to Krasnodar.
SAUDI ARABIA
Ahmed Musa blanked on his league debut for Al-Nassr who won 2-1 at Ohod.
SOUTH AFRICA
Chippa United were beaten 2-1 by Supersport United in the PSL.
Goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was on the losing side.
