Warri Wolves head Coach, Jolomi Atune has criticized the “unnecessary drama” around Ladan Bosso’s team at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Atune defended Bosso and claims the bickering stemmed from Players’ agents whose clients did not make the cut.

Nigeria lost 1-0 in the semi-final to Gambia, ending the team’s hope of winning Nigeria’s 8th CAF U20 AFCON title.

The team will have to battle Tunisia in the third-placed playoff on Friday at the Cairo International Stadium.

“One of the greatest problems in the country is our football agents, when you do not take their half-baked players, they hate you,” he told FL.

“Bosso did very well because it is not easy to qualify the team, especially with the problems and the issues we have,” said the former Flying Eagles assistant Coach.

“After the WAFU tournament, I know the plans the man had, but before the government came to his rescue, it was late. we always have problems with late preparation.”
