Plateau United defender Daniel Itodo likened the team’s current form to Pep Guardiola’s imperial Manchester City side and sends a warning to Heartland FC when the sides clash this weekend in the NPFL.
The last outing for Abdul Maikaba’s men in the NPFL was a goalless draw against visiting Kano Pillars at new to the new Jos stadium, but the result was enough to keep them on top of the table.
Next week the league leaders go in search another of another scalp when they face struggling Heartland FC and Fidelis Ilechukwu.
“We thank God for the draw against Pillars and hopefully we can get a good result against Heartland next,” he told www.brila.net.
“We give kudos to the technical crew and to the management of Plateau United for acquiring very good players to the Club, to me Plateau United is the Manchester City of Nigeria and any player called upon can deliver.”
