Captain of former NPFL champion Plateau united Elisha Golbe has stated that the Jos based side are determined and have a resolve to get things right in the Federation cup after enduring a tough season where the club escaped relegation from the league on the final day of the regular season.
Golbe speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Federation cup remains the only option left for the team to end the season on a high after an unconvincing league season and one that can eventually help the team pick a much coveted continental ticket.
“The thing is the league wasn’t favourable to us due to one problem or the other we faced during the league season because we didn’t finish well but thank God for escaping relegation. The Aiteo cup we have a target because we didn’t get it right in the league but we want to make sure we get it right in the Federation cup.”
Plateau united will get her Federation cup campaign underway in Abuja on Thursday against NNL side Kogi united FC.
