Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Champions League, Plateau United, were held to a 2 all draw away at Stade Mandji in the First leg preliminary round.

The hosts leveled twice to eventually settle for a share of the spoils with their Nigerian counterparts.

However, Plateau United got a goal late in the game, but it was ruled out, much to the dismay of coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and his men.

The Nigerian club dominated much of the game and would consider themselves to be unlucky with the outcome.

All four goals came in the first half, as Stade Mandji scored on the stroke of half time, to level things up in Franceville.

The second leg of the tie will be played on Sunday, 18th September, at the Abuja National Stadium.
