Plateau United head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is certain that the team will finish strong and secure a position in the 2023 NPFL Super 6 playoff following a 1-0 victory against Nasarawa United on Sunday.

With just three matches to go until the end of the shortened season, Ilechukwu expressed pride in his team and implored the players to put in a strong performance so they could secure a top-three spot and qualify for the Super 6.

This was revealed by the Plateau United boss after his team won three points in Jos by just edging the visiting Nasarawa United.

“We have three more games to go. We will take on Kwara in our next game away from home, and we hope to get something positive from that encounter,” Ilechukwu said.

“It’s that game that will determine whether we can play in the Super Six competition.”

Plateau United have to do the hard work of winning at least two out of their remaining three fixtures before the end of the season.

They will play relegation threatened Kwara United, a home game against Remo Stars and will round off the season with an away game at El Kanemi Warriors.
