Plateau United Captain, Elisha Golbe has warned Remo Stars that the team be looking to extend their 3-game winning streak since their loss to Bendel Insurance as they face off this weekend in the NPFL matchday 7.

“For the past three games, we have not lost a game and as a team, we remain focused and keep working hard to make sure we get back to where we belong,” Golbe said.

Both teams initially made it to continental football last season before crashing out in the preliminary stages, but they will look to improve their standings this season as Remo Stars finished third last season and Plateau United one spot ahead of them.

Speaking on the showdown, the Plateau United star has said they will work hard for the win as Remo Stars will still prove a difficult test for them.

“Our match with Remo one Sunday will be a very tough match,” Golbe admitted. “Remo are doing very well this season despite the loss in Akwa United, and as a team we just have to remain focused and give them the necessary respect they deserve because we are playing in their home and that will not make us relent on our efforts.

“We will keep pushing and working hard and by the end of 90 minutes, everything will balance as expected,” he told brila.net.
