Aspire FC that defeated FC Ifeanyi Ubah to win the Anambra State F.A cup will trade tackles with Kano Pillars in another round of AITEO Cup fixture at the FIFA Goal project, Abuja this Sunday.
Aspire FC, a nationwide league two club parades youthful and highly talented footballers and upset maybe in the offing as they file out against Pillars. The game promises to be exciting affair for football loving fans in Abuja.
Speaking with www.brila.net exclusively in Abuja, Dr. Emeka Okeke, the chairman of the club said that he is very optimistic that the team will give a good account of themselves in the game, adding that he hopes to see fair officiating in the game.
“We are a modest club, parading very young and talented players capable of great performance on the pitch against Pillars. I have confidence that Aspire FC will not be intimidated by the credentials of Pillars on the pitch.” Dr. Okeke said.

“Aspire FC won the F.A cup in Anambra state by defeating FCIU. We defeated their senior team in the semi final despite the odds against us and their feeder team also crumbled in the final,” he added.
The history of F.A cup competition in Nigeria is filled with upsets and this cannot not be ruled out in today’s game. Time will tell!
