Pillars, Sunshine, Delta Force and Gateway all zooms to the final of this year state FA Cup

In the west, Ogun State, Nigeria National League (NNL) side Gateway FC qualified for the final but only through tough minutes of play as they were held 1-1 by Nilayo FC. The state owned club however good their victory through penalty shoot-out 5-4 to book a place in the final.

 

In Ondo State, NPFL team Sunshine Stars thrashed Adeleke Dada FC 4-0 to grab a place in the final of the State FA Cup.

While in the middle belt region, Nassarawa United defeated Greater Tomorrow FC 3-0 to advance to the final. As the NPFL side Nasarawa United will be facing NNL side Aklosendi FC in Sunday’s final.

In Plateau State, Mighty Jets FC thrashed Jazzy Football Academy 4-0 to qualify for Sunday’s final where they will face the winner of the second semi final between Plateau United and Mighty Jets Feeders team on Thursday.

In the Northern region , Kano State, Kano Pillars moved to the final of the State FA Cup after a 6-0 win over Kano Stars.

From the South South region, Delta Force defeated GUO Asaba Tex 3-1 to qualify for the state’s final. The Okowa boys will face winners of Thursday’s other semifinal between NNL sides J’Atete FC and Warri Wolves in Sunday’s final.

It was eye catching one in Uyo as Akwa United was bitterly thrashed 3-0 by ALGON Boys FC though the match ended due to pitch encroachment.
