2019 Aiteo Cup Champions, Kano Pillars have parted ways with Super Eagles midfielder Hillary Paul Ikenna and Bature Yaro, through a mutual consent footballlive.ng gathered.
Pillars announced it has parted ways with the players in a press statement:
“The two midfielders agreed to be released and move somewhere else after a meeting with the Management and Technical crew of the four time Nigeria Professional Football League Champions.
“Hillary loan deal with the Sai Masu Gida ended at the end of the 2018/2019 season while Bature Yaro contract with Pillars was terminated based on mutual agreement.
“Chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya thanked the duo and wished them a successful future.
“He then urged the remaining players of the club to remain focused for the challenges ahead.
“Hillary and Bature are part of the former Nigerian professional football league champion squad that won the 2019 Nigeria Federation Cup.”
Kano Pillars finished as runner up last season, in the Super 6 play-off.
