Pillars Striker Nyima Nwangwua says the club will aim to build on their first league win of the season after his brace saw off Akwa Starlets in a 2-1 victory, mid-week.
Pillars had endured a horrible start to the season, failing to score in any of their previous five outings, but Nyima believes the team now has the momentum to work on.
“Feels really great getting our first victory of the season, also our first away points and also the first goals this season,” he told www.brila.net.
He added that they are relieved to their first three points of the season and hope to kick on from there.
“We were never under any pressure but we are Kano Pillars and were never comfortable in the position on the log and finally we got a well deserved win,” the Chan Eagles forward concluded.
Pillars are not 15th on the log with six points from possible eighteen.
