Head coach of Kano Pillars, Ibrahim Musa has declared that their season will be back on track when they go up against Wikki Tourists in Sunday’s fixture at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Pillars have started the new season on a poor note with one point from three games after two losses and a draw leaves them 19th on the league table.
The Management of the club, who are not pleased with the performance of the team thus far, handed a three-match ultimatum to the technical crew of the team headed by Coach Ibrahim Musa to turn things around.
However, the ultimatum began with midweek’s 1-0 loss to neighbours Jigawa Golden Stars, and coach Musa is aware of the need to arrest the decline against third-placed Wikki Tourists on Sunday.
“It is quite unfortunate our results so far have not reflected our performance. We have not been able to score and that is our major setback,” Musa told www.brila.net.
“Already we have discussed and decided that our revival must start against Wikki Tourists. We are quite aware of their performance this season but we are ready for them.”
Wikki Tourists have recorded an away victory this season, 1-0 win away at Nasarawa United, and they will fancy their chances against the Masu Gida who are yet to score a goal this season.
