Peseiro’s Laments Super Eagles Goalscoring Quandary

Jose Peseiro has acknowledge goal scoring is a concern for the Super Eagles after the team manager a single goal o er two legs of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles registered 37 goal attempts in both games combined, but needed a penalty to secure three points in Bissau.

Analyzing his team’s performance, Peseiro insists with the calibre of players in the Eagles, they should have won both games easily and by huge margins, but now looks ahead.

“We lost many opportunities, we deserved to beat Guinea-Bissau in both matches and not just 1-nil, we are supposed to beat them 5-1 in the first leg and 6-nil or 5-nil in the second leg.”

“I like the quality of the football we played; the ball possession, the chances we created, of course our mistake was the finishing but the goals can come from the next match or rounds of qualification.”
