After securing Nigeria’s qualification for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, head coach Jose Peseiro has emphasized the importance of improving the welfare of the players in order to enhance their chances of winning the Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Peseiro expressed his views on improving the welfare of Players, during the post-match conference in Monrovia following Nigeria’s 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone in the AFCON qualifier.

“The NFF need to do the best by giving good conditions for my players,” the 63 year-old queried.

“Super Eagles players played for Nigeria and need better condition. NFF must work well to give better condition to the players for good performance at the African Nations Cup.”

“I want to say we still have time for them to do the right thing for us to do well at AFCON.”

With the gaffer heavy on winning the trophy in Ivory Coast next year, he has motioned to the Nigerian Football Federation to take better care of the players in order to achieve the goal.
