Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo have been relegated with Southampton to the second tier of English football following the 2-0 home defeat to Fulham.

Saturday’s loss ended the Southampton’s 11-year stay in the Premier League and would have no complaint about it.

The Saints have been terrible all season winning only six games; drew six and lost 24 of the 36 games played so far.

With two games to go their 24 points tally isn’t enough to keep them in the Premier League.

Paul Onuachu was signed from Genk to help rescue the team in January, but was not given a run of games to make the desired impact for the team.

Meanwhile, Joe Aribo just couldn’t enjoy a consistent run of games and had a passive season just like most of his teammates.

Next season will present the club with a different objective which is getting back to the Premier League, and it remains to be seen how influential the duo will be in their quest.
