Super Eagles team Coordinator, Patrick Pascal has suggested that there’s no panic about the team’s squad depth but there’s need to cast the net wider for more players.
Speaking with FL, Pascal argued for more players to be drafted into the Super Eagles, in order to build a strong and quality pool for the NT.
The Former Nigeria international insists it benefits teams to have such squad depth, which could prove beneficial considering the recent Club vs Country spat during in the weeks leading to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
‘We need to have more options to call up into the national team, and home based players and those who are not part of the main team, can raise their games to stand any chance of staking a claim in the Super Eagles.’
