Former Super Eagles forward Obinna Nsofor says Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is worth more than the €150 million price tag slapped on him by Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Speaking on Brila FM’s Morning show “No Holds Barred with Ifeanyi Udeze”, the former West Ham player argued that Napoli invested heavily in Osimhen before he became a “global star”.

He insists if the Forward was an English man, and played for the Three Lions like Declan Rice, there will be no complaints about the transfer fee being too high.

“How much did Napoli buy Osimhen? They bought Osimhen for £71 million, when they bought Osimhen he was playing in Lille, did he achieve what he has achieved now with Napoli? No, I don’t think so. Okay, so in my own opinion, Osimhen is worth that $150 million in my own opinion.”

“If you could buy a player like Declan Rice for 100 million, then why not Victor Osimhen? Let’s be realistic here.”

“If Osimhen was an English player and was playing for the English national team will they be saying his price tag is too much? As a matter of fact, the price tag would be 200 million, not 150 million.”

“Let’s appreciate our own players, this is the fact. He has proven it, He has proven what he can do.

“He was able to do that at Napoli, for years they had not been able to qualify for the semi-final of the Champions League. Osimhen brought them to the semi-final of the Champions League. This is the truth.”
