Victor Osimhen has been named the best striker for the 2022/23 season in the Italian Serie A after a remarkable season, that saw him score 30 goals across all competitions – 25 of them coming in the Serie A.

Osimhen has dominated as the top goal scorer of the Serie A so far, and the 24 year-old has also broken several records, including the most goals by an African player in a single Serie A season.

He was nominated for the award alongside Lautaro Martinez and Rafael Leão.

The Forward is the first Napoli player to win the award and the first African player to do so.

Victor Osimhen’s impressive form has made him one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.

Napoli fans will be hoping that the Nigerian can continue his impressive form into next season, and help the team win more silverware but with Luciano Spalletti leaving this season his future remains open.
