Victor Osimhen could miss the Europa League first match between Napoli against Leicester at the King Power stadium for Covid reasons.
Osimhen’s involvement with Nigeria in the international break and particularly his trip to Cape Verde, a country on the UK government’s red list for the virus, means he needs to quarantine for at least 10 days.
The forward arrived Italy on September 9 and it’ll be four days until completing the stipulated quarantine period before entering the UK.
According to Italian publication La Repubblica, H/T calcionapoli24, “Osimhen will train only today, he landed yesterday in Rome, where this morning, with Elmas and Rahmani, he will ask the British embassy for a special visa to enter the United Kingdom.
“Coming from countries on the red list, the three would otherwise have to desert the Europa League trip to Leicester. As if to agree with those who consider the national distractions annoying.”
