The 24-year-old striker suffered an injury during Nigeria’s recent match against Saudi Arabia, limping off the field in the second half of the game.

Following the outcome of the assessment, Osimhen left the Super Eagles to undergo further medical examinations.

Napoli, released a statement on their official website, Monday, confirming that the player has sustained a medium-grade lesion of the biceps femoris in his right thigh.

The recovery period for this type of injury is typically four to six weeks, as noted by Sky Sport Italia.

Consequently, Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for at least three of Napoli’s upcoming matches.
