Victor Osimhen scored the only goal of the game as Lille beat Brest 1-0 in their French Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Friday.

Osimhen who has endured some barren spell in front of the goalkeepers scored the winning goal in the 16th minute following a pass from Jonathan Ikone.

Osimhen has now scored nine goals and recorded three assists in 16 league since his move from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi to the Les Dogues this season.

Lille are now in third position on the Ligue 1 table with 28 points from 17 matches following the win.

Osimhen will hope to transfer the form to Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League away fixture against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge as they hope to end the campaign with a win.
