Victor Osimhen has hinted that there could be a major transfer update on his future at Napoli this summer, but will keep mum about if he wants to leave the club.
Osimhen, 23, has been in the news as a possible transfer target for several top clubs across Europe including Bayern Munich and interests in the Premier League, but the Forward has distant himself from stoking those “rumors”.
In a post-match conference, Monday, after Nigeria’s victory in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, the Napoli Forward, attempted to play down on stories of a likely move from the Serie A club.
‘Firstly, I’m happy about this win, but business with the national team stays with the national team and my that of my club stays with my club,’ Osimhen responded to the question of a summer transfer.
‘But talking about transfers, I don’t think it’s the right moment for me (to discuss it) because I just finished with the national team; two games and the wins.
‘Of course there’s a lot of rumors in the media in Europe and world over, but anything can happen. I don’t know what will happen in the summer.’
‘I just want to go back to my Family and have a good time; relax and refresh my mind and at the right time I will discuss my future.’
