Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen has been the talk of the town in Naples and across Europe, his performance for SSC Napoli has been nothin short of impressive; he leads the Serie A in goals – 21 goals – and could inspire the Club to their first Scudetto title since 1987.
In a chat with FL, Osimhen revealed his motivation and identified his biggest inspiration as Didier Drogba.
The Nigerian star said he modelled his game after that of the Ivory Coast legend, and believes it’s one of the reasons behind his success so far.
“My mentor is Didier Drogba, since I was young boy. To be able to model my game after his, is part of why I am successful now, and I am really happy I chose him.”
Osimhen also revealed he admires the career and achievements of the Ivorian, Didier Drogba, and hopes to emulate the former Chelsea man.
“I don’t know if I will follow his career path because everyone has a different path to follow in their life’s journey. But, of course he is a legend; he has put Africa on the world map, I look forward to have his kind of career and win the titles and accolades he has won. It won’t be easy but I believe I am on the right path,” the 24 year-old Forward stated.
