Osimhen and Napoli still in good form

Victor Osimhen was in action for forty-five minutes as Napoli defeated Antalyaspor 3-2 in a friendly encounter at the Antalya Stadium on Wednesday.

This was Napoli’s first encounter since the Serie A went on break for the World Cup.

Napoli have only lost once in all competition and was on an eleven league games winning streak before the World Cup break.

Osimhen started the encounter in a front two alongside fellow Striker Giacomo Raspadori.

It only took 15 minutes for them to get two goals, Raspadori was on hand to get the first goal after just eight minutes then turned provider for Matteo Politano to double Napoli’s lead.

Luciano Spalletti made wholesome changes at the start of the second half and Victor Osimhen was replaced by Alessio Zerbin.

In the half, Antalyaspor responded with a goal of their own from Admir Mehmedi, but once again Raspadori was on hand to restore his side’s two-goal cushion as he netted the third for Napoli.

The Turkey outfit scored again late in the second half in what eventually was a consolation in an otherwise straight forward encounter.
