Nigeria international Victor Osimhen scored his first Champions League goal in Wednesday’s clash between Lille and Chelsea at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille Manager, Christophe Galtier handed the 20-year-old a starter’s shirt once more against the 2012 Champions on a night they handed to win.

Osimhen scored his side’s equaliser after another Nigerian forward Tammy Abraham had put Chelsea in front, courtesy of an assist from Fikayo Tomori.

The former Wolfsburg man headed home Jonathan Bamba’s corner kick after leaving Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma stranded.

Chelsea got the winner through Willian in the 76th minutes as the Blues claimed their first three points in the Europe elites tournament this season.

The defeat leaves Great Danes at the bottom of the summit with zero points, while Valencia climb to second with three points, same as Valencia who dropped to third after 3-0 home defeat to Ajax.

Ajax remains on top of the Group with maximum six points from two matches.
