It was business as usual for FC Barcelona Femeni as they picked another routine win, putting five past Real Sociedad Femenino in the Liga F, on Saturday.

Already crowned champions of the Liga F, Barcelona were still not going to take their foot off the pedal though and maintaining their unbeaten run – 20 games across all competitions – in the league seem now like another achievement to unlock.

They wasted very little time against Sociedad at the Instalaciones de Zubieta, opening the floodgates in the 21st minute through Patricia Guijarro.

Asisat Oshoala also got her name on the score sheet for her 21st league goal of the season, and Barca’s second on the day assisted by Guijarro.

The visitor’s stretched their lead four minutes after Oshoala’s goal, Aitana Bonmati finding the back of the net in the 29th minute.

Caroline Hansen made it 4-0 for the League Champions just past the half-hour mark.

But, Real Sociedad reduced the deficit, though not with the gusto of a team fighting for anything major.

Synne Jensen breached Barcelona’s goal – only the fifth goal the Catalans had conceded in the league until that moment.

Already cruising to another victory, but Hansen grabbed her brace and for good measure to put the game to bed.

However, the last real action of the game, surprisingly, was from Real Sociedad who got a fortuitous goal from Guijarro turning the ball into her own net to bring the scoreline to 5-2 in the 65th minute.

The seventh goal conceded in the League this season didn’t hurt Barcelona’s pride much, as they wil now turn their attention to Wednesday’s game away to Sevilla.
