Gift Orban was on song, Saturday, in KAA Gent’s 2-2 home draw against Cercle Brugge, confirming them for UEFA Europa Conference League football next season.

Orban scored his sixth goal in four games when he cancelled out Ahoueke Steeve Kevin Denkey’s 18th-minute opener just four minutes into the second half.

The goal took his tally to twenty goals in twenty games since his move from Stabaek in January.

Ayase Ueda restored Cercle Brugge’s lead in the 70th minute, but Hugo Cuypers, who is also in good form for Gent, restored parity just five minutes from regulation time, dragging them to their ninth consecutive year playing European football.

Gift Orban’s stock continues to rise with each game and it would take a lot of work for his present employers to keep him having been linked with the biggest names in club football recently including Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid among many others.
