Nigerian and KAA Gent’s young dynamite, Gift Orban has set his sights on a move to a top European club, following his stellar performance last season.

Orban, 21, caught the attention of football enthusiasts with his impressive displays, which led to his acquisition by Gent from Norwegian second-division club, Staebek, in January.

His goal-scoring prowess was evident as he netted 15 times in 16 appearances last season; including goals on the European stage.

So far this season he is off the block again, as he opened his goal account for the current campaign in Gent’s UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Zilina on Thursday.

With the young striker attracting interests from several top European clubs, Orban has expressed his eagerness to explore new opportunities elsewhere.

“Look, I love Belgium, but I want to go to a higher-ranking league. I just want to gain more experience at a higher level,” he was quoted to have said by Voetbalkrant.
