Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krosche, has responded to recent reports linking the club with a potential January move for striker, Gift Orban.

Frankfurt are reportedly in search of a replacement for striker Kolo Muani, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window for a substantial fee of around £95 million.

The team has struggled in the early stages of the season, managing to score just 4 goals in 4 Bundesliga matches and are clearly wanting for a no. 9.

According to reports, the Bundesliga club see Orban as a possible addition to address their attacking issues when the transfer window reopens next year.

When the question was raised about the KAA Gent player, sporting director Markus Krosche admitted that Gift Orban remains an option, although the player might come with a hefty price tag.

“There are a lot of interesting players, He (Orban) won’t come as a gift,” Krosche stated.

Meanwhile, it’s worth mentioning that the striker has been struggling for form lately, and mainly due to injuries.

He has not scored in his last four appearances for Gent after an impressive start to the season with 6 goals in 6 games.
