KAA Gent new boy, Gift Emmanuel Orban scored twice in the club’s feisty 3-3 encounter against KVC Westerlo, announcing himself to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with a man-of-the-match display.

The Nigerian striker had a very good day at the office, despite the team failing to grab all three points.

Orban, 20, signed for Gent in January from Stabaek where he scored 19 league goals for his Norwegian old club.

He followed up his promise with two goals to hand his team a point against Westerlo on his debut.

The youngster netted in the 30th minute to restore his side’s lead after Maxim De Cuyper (16′) had cancelled out Hugo Cuyper’s 14th minute penalty which he (Orban) won.

Nacer Chadli leveled proceedings just five minutes later and Westerlo went ahead just two minutes after the restart of the game in the second half through Lukas Van Eenoo, but the Nigerian dragged KAA Gent back into the game in the 66th minute as they saw out the draw.

Next up for De Buffalo’s is a trip to Azerbaijan for the UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Qarabag, on Thursday.
