Desire Oparanozie was on target for Guingamp in their 1-1 draw against Montpellier in a French top-flight game  on Wednesday.

Oparanozie, who struck from 40 yards to end a 12-match drought in her side’s 2-0 win over Paris FC last week, continued with her fine form to rescue her side from defeat in Montpellier.

Valerie Gauvin put the home team ahead in the 31st minute, while Oparanozie put her side on level terms in the 55th minute to ensure Frédéric Biancalani’s  side leaves the Stade Bernard Gasset Terrain with a point.

The former Bayelsa Queens striker was on from start to finish and has now scored two consecutive goals for Guingamp in seven matches.

The result put Guingamp fifth on the Women’s log with 14 points from ten games and they are up next against Dijon in the league on December 7.
