Oparaku tells Salisu Yusuf to “Do What it Takes” to Save Olympic Eagles

Atlanta Olympic Gold medal winner, Mobi Oparaku has described the situation of the U23 Eagles as desperate and insists the Coach needs to fix the problems in the team fast.

Oparaku scored the U23 Eagles low after their first-leg CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations against Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday in Abuja.

The Nigerian team, coached by Salisu Yusuf were held to a stalemate at the MKO Abiola stadium, and Oparaku has urged the Coach to review the performance thoroughly and make changes were necessary before the return leg.

Mobi Oparaku was a key member of Nigeria’s Dream team that won goal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atalanta.

The former defender told FL it’ll be a delight to see another Nigerian team go all the way.

“It is highly important that the team give a good account of themselves in the second leg, because football is the only source of happiness for many citizens of the country.”

Winner of the tie qualifies for the CAF U23 AFCON, which will serve as the qualifiers for the next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
