Ex Nigerian International, Godwin Opara says he is strongly against Super Eagles playing home games in different Nigerian cities and stadia.
The Eagles have been playing crucial games in Uyo ,Kaduna and Asaba, but Opara believes Such affecting progress of the youthful team coached by Gernot Rohr. The former defunct ACB Fc of Lagos and Strausburg of France defender is certain that Eagles would blend faster for the next nations cup in Egypt if allowed to train and play games at Uyo.
Opara told footballlive.ng; “I find it funny that Eagles to play key games almost every where in Nigeria. This should stop as Uyo has the best Stadium while the fans are ever there for the Eagles .The Godswill Akpabio Stadium should officially be home ground of our team.”
“There would never be excuses when you play on standard pitch ,and bad players would be easily spotted .Let us avoid politics and do the right thing all the time”, he concluded.
