Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru could finally be on his way to joining Bayern Munich of Germany, as the Bundesliga club are said to have opened formal talks over a likely deal in the summer.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, although Onyekuru is on loan at Gala from Everton of England, Bayern have taken ip upon themselves to sound of the Turkish Super Lig club over their chances of getting the lad in June.
It is now believed that Everton will use the opportunity to stick out for a fertile bargain with The Bavarians, considering that the English Premier League club are yet to resolve the issue of a work permit for the player.
With The Toffees still uncertain of being able to get Onyekuru into their team from EPL next season, they may be constrained to cash in on his current form, which has seen hit him goals at will in the Lig and receive a recall to the Super Eagles, after injury ruled him out of the World Cup.
Details of the report out of Queensland indicate further that Bayern are preparing to table a very tempting offer for Onyekuru with Everton, after being frustrated in their pursuit of Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Everton’s sports chief, Marcel Brands has now slapped a €40m price-tag on Onyekuru, who popped to limelight playing for KAS Eupen of Belgium.
After getting an initial loan spell at another Belgian club, RSC Anderlecht, from Everton, Onyekuru is thrilling all at Glaatasaray, such that Brands feels he holds all aces in his talks with Bayern’s Hasan Salhimadzic.
