Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru won the Turkish Super Lig title after his Club Galatasary defeated rivals Instabul Basaksehir 2-1 at the Telkom Arena on Sunday.
Onyekuru was the hero in the closed contested game, as he scored the winning goal for his side who rallied back from a goal down to win the game.
Bosnia striker Riad Bajić has put Instabul Basaksehir in front after 17th minutes of play, before Algerian winger Sofiane Feghouli scored the equaliser with a minute remaining in the first half.
However, after the resumption, Galatasary took the lead through their Nigerian import, as Onyekuru who scored the winning goal four minutes after an hour mark.
The win put Galatasary three points ahead of Basaksehir who finished the season with 66 points.
Galatasary also won the Turkish Cup last week with a 4-1 win over Akhisar Belediyespor.
