Onyedika impresses against OHL, but Club Brugge slips in Championship race


Raphael Onyedika was in action for 90 minutes when Jupiler title chasing, Club Brugge welcomed OH Leuven to the Jan Breydel Stadion on Monday.

The midfielder put in a good shift but Club could only manage a point from the game and Onyedika was rated average at the end.

Onyedika managed a 6.8 rating and in the game, led Tackles attempted (5), made 1 interception and won 2 aerial duels.

He had 65 touches on the ball, mostly in the opposition’s half and registered two shots on goal.

But, the midfielder also lost possession 4 times and committed one foul which saw he get booked.

On the day, despite holding on to their 1-goal lead throughout regular time after Ferran Jutgla (44′) put them ahead from the penalty spot, Club Brugge let slip.

Carl Hoefkens’ men allowed Leuven back in the game as the the visitors snatched a late equalizer with a stoppage time strike.

Nachon Nsingi found the back of the net in the third minute of stoppage time to earn his side a point.

The result leaves Club Brugge in fourth place after 18 rounds of matches, but could see the points differential with the top sides extended.
